Album featured at the showOxymore2022Oxymore, Sex in the Machine, Brutalism and Epica bring the record's immersive research close to Jarre's electronic classics.“To see Jarre return to Seville after 32 years, trading Lago de la Cartuja for the Plaza de España.”
Context
Thirty-two years separate the concert at Lago de la Cartuja from this return to Seville. On July 8, 2025, Jarre takes over the Plaza de España at the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest. The architecture designed for the 1929 exposition meets an artist who turns monuments into spaces for electronic music.
Magnetic Fields Pt. 1 opens the sequence. Jarre mixes Oxygene and Equinoxe with Oxymore, Sex in the Machine and Brutalism, without arranging the night as a chronological retrospective. Lasers, video and visuals made with artificial intelligence make up the set design. Arpégiateur and Zoolookologie widen the journey across the different phases of his catalog.
The stop is part of the European summer tour, which moves on to Stuttgart a few days later. The meeting with the square takes on another life in the special directed by David Montagne and produced by KM and ARTE France. In December, Live in Sevilla reaches streaming: the scale of the monument now shares space with the camera's framing.
- Zero Gravity appears in the Above & Beyond remix.
