Album featured at the showLotus2025Seven of the session's nine songs come from Lotus, Little Simz's sixth album.“To see Little Simz present her new phase after the split with Inflo, at the Atelier des Lumières.”
Context
In Paris, Little Simz takes over the Atelier des Lumières at a moment of rupture. Her partnership with Inflo, who produced her three previous albums, had ended in a financial dispute. Lotus is born with another producer, Miles Clinton James, and puts that change at the center of the writing.
The Passengers session packs seven songs from the new record into just over half an hour. Simz opens with Thief and moves through Flood, Enough and Young, backed by Marla Kether, Morgan Simpson, Mark Mollison and Amane Suganami. Bass, drums, guitar and keyboards form the lineup around the voice.
Woman and Gorilla close the performance and reconnect this phase to Sometimes I Might Be Introvert and No Thank You. On the last track, the projections of JOURNEY, by Nohlab, fold the space into the performance. The recording circulates through ARTE Concert in September 2025 as an episode of Passengers.
- Gorilla closes the session with projections of JOURNEY, created by Nohlab.
