Context
On December 3, 2025, La Gaîté Lyrique hosts a birthday party for French-language rap: ARTE Dans le Club reaches its 50th edition. Between Kery James, Bamby and Triangle des Bermudes, Hugo TSR takes the stage with independence and everyday Paris at the center of his writing.
La pluie opens the performance, and Rei comes right after. The journey passes through Point final, Fenêtre sur rue and Jeudi before reaching Périmètre and Là haut. The crowd nods along to the boom bap of a rapper who keeps everyday hardship and injustice as his raw material.
On recommence closes the 37 minutes and brings the journey back to La Pluie, released in May 2024 on the Chambre Froide label. The performance airs as an ARTE Concert program. The film captures a specific appearance of this independent rap on television: not a definitive retrospective, but a slice of its continuity.
