Context
Red hats reach the front rows of the Sophie Lancaster tent on Bloodstock's opening Thursday, August 7, 2025. Gnome arrives at Catton Park with its third album already out and an identity that brings together fantastical creatures, humor, and heavy riffs.
Rutger Verbist handles vocals and guitar, Geoffrey Verhulst holds down the bass, and Egon Loosveldt drives the drums. Old Soul opens an eight-song run that makes room for five tracks from Vestiges of Verumex Visidrome. The Ogre stretches things out; Wenceslas and Kraken Wanker revisit material from King.
Ambrosius closes the performance on the first night of a festival that runs through Sunday. In October, the full multicamera recording is released, with multichannel audio and no reported overdubs. The recording preserves this particular encounter between the Antwerp trio, the audience's hats, and the English tent.
- The Ogre gets room to stretch in the middle of the set; Ambrosius closes the performance.
