Context
Twelve years separate this night from WhoMadeWho's previous visit to Sónar. The festival debut came in 2004; now, on June 20, 2026, the trio returns to the SonarVillage. The reunion takes place in the edition that concentrates the music program at Fira Gran Via, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Jeppe Kjellberg, Tomas Høffding and Tomas Barfod bring to the stage the mix of instruments and electronic production that defines the group. Abu Simbel and Hibernation come early; Ember and Heads Above run through the middle of the set. Between original songs and collaborations, the set brings song and dance floor together, with Closer and Miracle in the home stretch.
After the Saturday night, the performance reaches a wider audience through ARTE Concert's programming, in a 73-minute film produced by Klangmalerei TV. The broadcast extends the reunion beyond the festival. What remains on record is a return that links the 2004 debut to the trio's expansion onto international dance floors.
