Rionegro & Solimões

Friends José Divino Neves and Luiz Felizardo, known as Rionegro and Solimões, are from Claraval, Minas Gerais. They began performing together on the sertanejo nightlife circuit and recorded an independent tape in 1986.

In 1989, they released their first album through RGE. The duo gained recognition in the 1990s with songs such as De São Paulo a Belém and Bate o Pé, combining romantic repertoire with elements of música caipira and electric arrangements.
