Born in Havana, Cuba, Gloria Estefan moved to Miami as a child, where she joined the Miami Sound Machine, led by Emilio Estefan. International reach came with “Dr. Beat” and the album Eyes of Innocence, followed by the success of Primitive Love and Let It Loose, with hits such as “Conga” and “Anything for You”.
In 1989, she began releasing records as a solo artist with Cuts Both Ways, keeping the bridge between pop and Latin music.
