Rage Against the Machine

Rage Against the Machine formed in Los Angeles in 1991, with Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk. The debut album, released in 1992, introduced its mix of rap and rock and politically charged songs.

The band followed with Evil Empire and The Battle of Los Angeles before de la Rocha left in 2000. It reunited in 2007 and again for a tour that began in 2022 and was cut short after an injury to the singer.
