Simone

Born in Salvador, Simone made her professional singing debut in 1973 with the album Simone. She gained recognition through her interpretations of songs by writers such as Milton Nascimento, Gonzaguinha, and Ivan Lins; Pedaços, released in 1979, marked a milestone in her career, as did her recording of Começar de Novo.

In the 1980s, she released albums such as Amar and Sedução. She continued recording and performing, and celebrated five decades in music with the Tô Voltando tour.
