John Mayer

John Mayer was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and grew up in Fairfield. After studying for two semesters at Berklee College of Music, he moved to Atlanta and started performing as a solo artist. Room for Squares, released in 2001, featured “Your Body Is a Wonderland”; Continuum, from 2006, brought Mayer’s pop closer to blues and earned recognition for “Waiting on the World to Change”.

After a break due to vocal cord problems, he returned with Born and Raised in 2012, and also began touring with Dead & Company.
