Joe Satriani

Joe Satriani was born in Westbury, New York, and started playing guitar as a teenager. Before establishing his solo career, he taught musicians such as Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett. His second album, Surfing with the Alien, released in 1987, brought his instrumental music to a wider audience. In 1996, he created the G3 tour, which brought guest guitarists together for performances and jams.
