Djavan

Djavan was born in Maceió and began playing dances with the band Luz, Som, Dimensão before moving to Rio de Janeiro at age 23. In 1975, Fato Consumado drew attention at Festival Abertura; the following year, he released his first LP, A Voz, o Violão, a Música de Djavan. Lilás, from 1984, raised his profile, while albums such as Ária and Na Pista revisited different repertoires and formats.
