Cher

Cher was born in El Centro, California, and rose to prominence in the 1960s alongside Sonny Bono, with whom she recorded “I Got You Babe”. After the duo split, she alternated music, television and film, while regaining ground on the charts with albums such as Heart of Stone.

In 1998, Believe took her career into a new dance-pop phase and popularized the use of Auto-Tune as a vocal effect. She also kept acting in film and television.
