Born in Manhattan, New York, Carole King began writing songs as a teenager and, with her then-husband Gerry Goffin, wrote hits such as “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” for other artists. In 1971, she released Tapestry, an album that gathered her own songs such as “It’s Too Late” and “You’ve Got a Friend” and won four Grammys.
After decades of records and tours, she returned to the stage with James Taylor in 2007 and performed at Hyde Park in 2016.
