Asia

Asia formed in London in 1981, bringing together John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe and Carl Palmer, musicians associated with King Crimson, Yes, The Buggles and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The debut album, Asia, came out in 1982 and reached the top of the charts in the United States; Alpha sustained the success the following year.

After lineup changes and a break, the original members reunited in 2006 and released Phoenix in 2008.
