Within Temptation

Within Temptation emerged in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands, in 1996, formed by Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt. The group debuted with Enter, from 1997, still close to gothic metal, and widened its reach with Mother Earth (2000), driven by the single “Ice Queen”. The Silent Force and The Heart of Everything cemented its international profile. The band remained active, releasing Bleed Out in 2023.
