Whitesnake

Whitesnake formed in London in 1978 as a project led by vocalist David Coverdale after his time in Deep Purple. In its early years, the band released Trouble, Ready an’ Willing and Saints & Sinners, with a sound rooted in blues rock.

Slide It In marked a move toward the American market; the 1987 album Whitesnake delivered the hits Here I Go Again and Is This Love. After a hiatus in the 1990s, Coverdale revived the band in 2002. The farewell tour, which began in 2022, was interrupted by health problems.
