Urban Dance Squad

Urban Dance Squad emerged in Utrecht in 1986, from a jam session that brought together rock, rap and scratching. The group gained international recognition with its debut album, Mental Floss for the Globe, from 1989, and the track “Deeper Shade of Soul”.

After Life ’n Perspectives of a Genuine Crossover, it released Persona Non Grata and Planet Ultra, before disbanding in 2000. The lineup played again in 2006, at the Lowlands festival.
