Tony Bennett

Tony Bennett was born Anthony Benedetto in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens and began recording for Columbia in 1950. “Because of You” was his first big hit, followed by “Rags to Riches” and “I Left My Heart in San Francisco”, a song released in 1962.

After a quieter period during the rise of rock, he regained popularity through performances and recordings. In the 2000s, he reached new generations through collaborations, including the Duets albums.
