Toninho Horta

Toninho Horta was born in Belo Horizonte and was part of the generation associated with Clube da Esquina, working with Milton Nascimento and Som Imaginário. His composition Beijo partido gained recognition through recordings by Nana Caymmi and Milton, on the album Minas.

In 1980, he released the albums Terra dos pássaros and Toninho Horta; Diamond Land and Moonstone followed. Beginning in 1990, he lived in New York and built an international career while continuing to release records and perform in Brazil.
