The Verve

The Verve formed in Wigan, England, in 1990, and released A Storm in Heaven and A Northern Soul before reaching international prominence with Urban Hymns, from 1997, which featured “Bitter Sweet Symphony” and “The Drugs Don’t Work”. After splitting up in 1999, the band returned in 2007 and released Forth the following year. The reunion was short-lived: the group split again in 2009.
