The Three Degrees

The vocal trio was born in Philadelphia in 1963, with Fayette Pinkney, Helen Scott and Janet Harmon. After early recordings for Swan Records, it arrived at Philadelphia International in 1973 and worked with Gamble and Huff. “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)”, recorded with the band MFSB, and “When Will I See You Again” took the group onto international charts. Member changes marked the following decades, but the live work continued.
