The Sessions Band

The Sessions Band emerged in New Jersey in 1997 as a collective of musicians gathered by Bruce Springsteen to record versions of songs associated with Pete Seeger. After a first session for the tribute Where Have All the Flowers Gone, the group reconvened in 2005 for We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, released the following year.

The lineup backed Springsteen on tour in 2006 and gave rise to the live album Live in Dublin, from 2007.
