Sururu na Roda

Sururu na Roda formed in 2000 when music students at UniRio came together, and began playing in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, with a repertoire of older sambas and choros. The group released Arco da Velha and Sururu na Roda, followed by Se você me ouvisse, dedicated to Nelson Cavaquinho.

In 2013, it recorded Sururu na Roda Ao Vivo with Dona Ivone Lara; the DVD won the Prêmio da Música Brasileira in 2014. The group released Encontro perfeito in 2019.
