Sérgio Santos

Born in Varginha, Minas Gerais, Sérgio Santos began his career in 1982 in Milton Nascimento's stage production Missa dos Quilombos. In 1991, he met poet Paulo César Pinheiro, his collaborator on many of his compositions.

He released Aboio in 1995 and followed it with albums such as Áfrico, from 2002, and Rimanceiro, from 2013, both devoted to songs from their partnership. He also composed and recorded as a singer, acoustic guitarist, and arranger.
