Sebadoh

Sebadoh emerged in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1986, as a project of Lou Barlow and Eric Gaffney; Jason Loewenstein joined in 1989. The band helped bring lo-fi recording into indie rock with Sebadoh III and Bubble and Scrape, and arrived at a more direct sound on Bakesale and Harmacy.

After The Sebadoh, from 1999, it went on hiatus. The group returned to the stage in 2007 and released new records, including Act Surprised in 2019.
