Roberta Miranda was born in João Pessoa and moved as a child to São Paulo, where she began singing in bars and nightclubs. Before recording as a performer, she had songs recorded by other artists: De igual para igual was a hit for Matogrosso e Mathias, and Sua Majestade, o Sabiá reached audiences through Jair Rodrigues's voice.
In 1986, she released her first LP, followed by albums that yielded hits with Meu Dengo, Chuva de Amor, and São Tantas Coisas. In 2017, she celebrated three decades in music with Os Tempos Mudaram.
