Raça Negra

Formed in 1983 in São Caetano do Sul, Raça Negra took romantic samba and São Paulo pagode to radio stations across the country. The first album, released in 1991, featured “Caroline”; in the following years, hits such as “Cheia de Manias” and “É Tarde Demais” widened its reach. The band stayed active and recorded live projects such as Raça Negra e Amigos, in 2012.
