R.E.M.

R.E.M. formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980, and made its way on the college circuit with its first album, Murmur, released in 1983. After a decade of records like Document and Green, it reached the mass audience with Out of Time and Automatic for the People, which include “Losing My Religion” and “Man on the Moon”.

After drummer Bill Berry left in 1997, the group carried on as a trio until announcing its end in 2011.
