Peter Doherty

Peter Doherty was born in Hexham, in the north of England, and rose to prominence as singer and guitarist of The Libertines, formed with Carl Barât. Up the Bracket, from 2002, marked the band’s rise; after the first split, Doherty created Babyshambles, whose second album, Shotter’s Nation, came out in 2007.

He also released solo records, among them Hamburg Demonstrations, and formed the project Peter Doherty & the Puta Madres. The Libertines reunited in 2010.
