Nicola Proksch

Nicola Proksch was born in Vienna and studied voice at the city’s University of Music and Performing Arts, completing her training in Ostrava, Czech Republic. She made her opera debut in 2005 as Dalinda in Handel’s Ariodante and was part of the Komische Oper Berlin studio in the 2008–09 season.

Her repertoire includes the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Amina in La sonnambula, and roles in Rigoletto and Les contes d’Hoffmann. In 2014, she received a discovery-of-the-season award for Amina.
