Nas

Nas came out of Queensbridge, in Queens, and drew attention in 1994 with Illmatic, an album that portrayed life in the housing project where he grew up. It Was Written widened his commercial reach, while Stillmatic marked a comeback in the early 2000s.

After uneven phases and projects like Hip Hop Is Dead, he went back to releasing records in a row with producer Hit-Boy: the King's Disease trilogy and the Magic series, completed in 2023.
