MV Bill

MV Bill was born and raised in Cidade de Deus, in Rio de Janeiro, and began writing sambas-enredo before turning to hip-hop. In 1998, he released Traficando Informação, the album that brought the rapper national recognition and includes Soldado do Morro.

The realities of outlying urban neighborhoods also shaped the documentary Falcão: Meninos do Tráfico, made with Celso Athayde, and the book Cabeça de Porco. His musical career also includes the 2010 album Causa e Efeito.
