Moacyr Luz

Moacyr Luz was born in Rio de Janeiro, and his songs began to be recorded in 1979, when Lana Bittencourt recorded Eu Me Descubro. In 1988, he released his first album, Moacyr Luz, with guest appearances by Raphael Rabello, Sivuca and Hélio Delmiro; Vitória da Ilusão followed in 1995, and Mandingueiro in 1998.

His partnership with Aldir Blanc shaped part of his work. He also created Samba do Trabalhador, a samba gathering that led to albums and performances.
