Mihoko Fujimura

Japanese mezzo-soprano Mihoko Fujimura studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. She made her Bayreuth Festival debut as Fricka in Der Ring des Nibelungen and returned to the festival in roles such as Waltraute, Erda, Brangäne and Kundry.

She has performed at houses such as Covent Garden, La Scala and the Vienna State Opera. In 2024, she sang Suzuki in the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence production of Madama Butterfly.
