Michael Kamen

Michael Kamen was born in New York in 1948, studied oboe at Juilliard and formed the New York Rock & Roll Ensemble, which brought classical music and rock together. As an arranger, he worked with Pink Floyd on The Wall and collaborated with the band again on The Final Cut and The Division Bell.

He also composed film scores, among them the Lethal Weapon and Die Hard series. He died in London in 2003.
