Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey was born in Huntington, New York, and debuted in 1990 with a self-titled album that reached the top of the American chart. Music Box cemented her international success, while Daydream and Butterfly marked the transition to a sound more tied to R&B and hip-hop.

After a quieter period in the early 2000s, she returned to the charts with The Emancipation of Mimi in 2005. She kept releasing records, including Here for It All in 2025.
