Born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, Marc Anthony started as a freestyle and pop singer before establishing himself in salsa. The 1993 album Otra Nota opened that phase, expanded by Todo a Su Tiempo and Contra la Corriente.
In 1999, he released an English-language album that reached a mass audience with “I Need to Know”. He alternated between Spanish and English repertoire, and returned to the Latin charts with “Vivir Mi Vida” in 2013, staying active in the studio and on tour.
