Lucinda Williams

Lucinda Williams was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the daughter of poet Miller Williams, and spent her childhood moving around the American South and other countries. She released records from the 1970s on, but gained wider recognition with Lucinda Williams, from 1988, and Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, from 1998.

After suffering a stroke in 2020, she resumed recording with Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart, released in 2023, and returned to the stage.
