Baritone Lionel Lhote studied at the royal conservatories of Mons and Brussels. In 2004, he was a finalist in the Queen Elisabeth Competition and received the audience prize. His repertoire includes Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Leporello in Don Giovanni and Giorgio Germont in La traviata.

He has sung on stages such as the Paris Opera, the Liceu in Barcelona, La Monnaie and Glyndebourne. In the production of Madama Butterfly staged in Aix in 2024, he sang Sharpless.
