Kery James

Born in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, Kery James grew up in Orly, on the outskirts of Paris. He started rapping as a child and was a member of the group Ideal J, which released “Le combat continue” in 1998.

After the group ended, he began a solo career with “Si c’était à refaire” (2001) and rose to prominence with “À l’ombre du show business” (2008) and “Réel” (2009). He also took part in the collective Mafia K’1 Fry and resumed his solo releases with “Mouhammad Alix” (2016).
