John Petrucci

John Petrucci grew up on Long Island, New York, and began playing with John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they were studying at Berklee College of Music. The trio formed Majesty in 1985, a project that later took the name Dream Theater.

Petrucci played on albums such as Images and Words, which brought the group to a wider audience, and Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory. He also took part in several editions of the G3 tour.
