João Paulo & Daniel

Formed in Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo state, in the early 1980s, the duo came together when the singers, previously rivals at festivals, began singing together. Their first album, Amor Sempre Amor, came out in 1985; their profile grew with Desejo de Amar and, later, Estou Apaixonado, from their 1996 album.

The partnership ended in 1997 with João Paulo's death in a car accident. Daniel continued as a solo artist.
