Ira! was born in São Paulo in 1981 and brought the urgency of mod and English punk to Brazilian rock. Nasi on vocals and Edgard Scandurra on guitar formed one of the most tense and creative pairings of their generation, from Vivendo e Não Aprendendo to Psicoacústica. Envelheço na Cidade, Flores em Você and Dias de Luta became the soundtrack of a restless, disillusioned urban youth.
To hear 1980s São Paulo in nervous guitars and urban melancholy.
