Gary Glitter

Gary Glitter is the stage name of English singer Paul Gadd, born in Banbury. After recording in the 1960s as Paul Raven, he adopted the new name in the early 1970s and scored glam rock hits such as “Rock and Roll” and “I’m the Leader of the Gang (I Am)”.

The albums Glitter and Touch Me marked that phase. His career was cut short by convictions for sexual offenses against children, starting in 1999.
