France Duclairoir

A double bassist, improviser, composer and arranger from the south of France, France Duclairoir started on guitar and switched instruments after meeting teacher Jean-François Bonnel at the Aix-en-Provence conservatory. Trained in jazz, she leads her own quartet and sextet and also moves through Latin and Cuban repertoire.

In the John Coltrane tribute led by Raphaël Imbert, she is part of the core group that engages with the photograph of the saxophonist in front of a work by Pierre Soulages.
