The Florida A&M University band, in Tallahassee, was established in 1946 under the direction of William P. Foster. Known as the Marching 100, it built its history on halftime shows, parades and university events, without a discography of studio albums marking its career. In 2011, its activities were suspended after the death of drum major Robert Champion in a hazing case; it returned to the field in 2013.
