DJ Kay Slay

Keith Grayson was born and raised in Harlem, New York, and started out in graffiti before making his name as a DJ and mixtape promoter. Known as DJ Kay Slay and “The Drama King”, he helped introduce unreleased tracks and battles between MCs on tapes and radio shows.

He released The Streetsweeper, Vol. 1 in 2003 and its second volume the following year. He was a host on Hot 97 and died in 2022, at 55.
