Deborah Cox

Born in Toronto, Deborah Cox worked as a backing singer before releasing her debut album in 1995. The album featured “Sentimental” and “Who Do U Love”, and One Wish, from 1998, included “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here”, which topped the US R&B chart for several weeks.

She went on to release work such as The Morning After and Destination Moon, a tribute to Dinah Washington. She also performed in Broadway musicals and kept a career spanning records, stage and television.
