Coral dos Canarinhos de Petrópolis

Coral dos Canarinhos de Petrópolis was founded by Franciscan friar Frei Leto Bienias in 1942 at Igreja do Sagrado Coração de Jesus. Affiliated with Instituto dos Meninos Cantores de Petrópolis, the group began with around 50 boys and officially became part of the institution in 1952, as it expanded music education to other students.

The choir has recorded albums, performed in Brazil and abroad, and remains active in liturgical and concert repertoire.
